KENYA COULD ban the export of raw agricultural produce that can be processed locally if the agricultural ministry has
its way.
According to Hellmann Worldwide Logistics, home grown products such as coffee, macadamia nuts and chillies are exported and then re-imported under foreign brand names and sold at exorbitant prices.
The agriculture minister has appealed for investment in processing industries to reverse the trend.
