POLICE HAVE denied allegations of corruption levelled at officers stationed at Kaserne. Police spokesman Capt Francis Grobbelaar told FTW last week that allegations of this nature were frequently levelled against most police units.

The unit is hard-working and there are no plans to replace them, he said.

The SA Police Services had however established an internal investigations unit that would follow up cases of alleged corruption that were reported to them.

Grobbelaar urged people who claimed to have knowledge of police corruption to come forward so that it could be investigated.
