">The first liquefied natural gas (LNG) gas exports from Mozambique’s Rovuma basin project are on track for the latter half of 2022, according to a statement by Italian energy company ENI.

">“The development scheme provides for the construction of  a FLNG (floating liquefied natural gas rig) with a production capacity of 3.4 metric tonnes per year of LNG,” said a company spokesperson, adding that the activities around the company’s Coral Sul deposit were “well on track”.

">The execution phase of Coral Sul, the first Rovuma basin project, started in June 2017.
