The new vehicles sales
market enjoyed month-onmonth
growth for much
of last year and this bodes
well for 2012, according to
Homith Hooseria, marketing
and sales representative for
Compu-Clearing.
And, he says, it will no
doubt have a knock-on effect
across the board. IT provider
to the customs clearing,
freight forwarding, air
cargo and related industries,
Compu-Clearing serves a
number of companies in the
automotive sector, either
directly or indirectly.
“We believe the monthon-
month growth in new
vehicle sales will continue
to have a major impact on
the growth of other related
sectors,” said Hooseria.
“It is therefore important
to ensure we can meet
the needs of this growing
market.”
According to Hooseria,
the vast array of products
and spares in the automotive
sector means huge volumes
of product codes and values
need to be captured and
handled by an IT system.
“The Compu-Clearing
system has evolved to cater
for this, and we can handle
large file names and product
codes. This ensures smooth
transition, integration and if
need be, easy data capture.
The system also allows the
user to link product codes
with tariff headings and
these are updated in the
system without any client
intervention.”
Having recently grown its
cCloud platform to include
cTariff, its new online
Tariff Book, and cRoad,
the new web-based ACM
Road Manifest System, the
company also offer free
custom integration with
its systems, as well as free
training of all its cCloud
Systems
“This is very powerful in
the automotive industry as
the amount of information
needed would take days to
capture. In most cases of
integration in the automotive
industry the amount of data
capture is minimal.”
The company also offers a
complete ERP supply chain
logistics solution. “This
encompasses all aspects of
the logistics supply chain
from local transport and
warehousing through to
forwarding. This system
now allows us to fulfil all
the needs of our customers,”
he said.
