The Department of Forestry and Fisheries is set to implement punitive measures for incorrect labelling of cartons of citrus bound for South Korea.
A meeting has been scheduled by Daff at the Tzaneen Country Lodge on November 24 for all pack houses registered for South Korea. This will be the main item on the agenda.
According to the Citrus Growers’ Association (CGA), during the past few seasons there’s been a growing number of rejections due to incorrect labelling of cartons bound for South Korea. “This is putting that entire programme at risk, and Daff is implementing punitive measures for serial offenders,” according to the CGA
