HWL appoints new director

Andreas Lohmeier
ANDREAS Lohmeier (31) has been appointed director and member of the board of Hellmann Worldwide Logistics South Africa based in Johannesburg. He will be responsible for HWL in Johannesburg, Pretoria, and the Indian Ocean Islands as the well as the company's IT division.
Lohmeier studied in Europe, and has participated in a management trainee programme within the Hellmann Group which included stints in France, South Africa, Germany and the USA. In 1996 he relocated to Argentina and four years later was promoted to managing director for Mauritius.
"Within the next five years our goal is to be one of the top five SA logistics operators, a challenge I look forward to being part of," he told FTW.
