ENDING THE year on a high note are Global Container Lines' Doug Kennedy (seated), Maria O'Brien and US-based vice president: Indian Ocean and South African services, David Paksima, who was in South Africa last week to touch base with customers and local agents. Celebrating its two and a half year anniversary with customers in Johannesburg last week, the line was upbeat about volumes, having already hit 2001 totals in September this year. GCL offers a 10-day multi-purpose service between Durban, Maputo, Beira, Nacala, Zanzibar, Dar es Salaam, Mombasa and Tanga with connections to Comores, India, Pakistan, Oman and the Persian Gulf.
