FASHION LOGISTICS. It hardly sounds like freight forwarding terminology, but it’s part of the core expertise that Hellmann Worldwide Logistics has developed over the past year.
The term covers the textile industry. The automotive industry, perishables and beverages have all come in for the same treatment.
“Our company has gone along the route of developing core expertise for each of these segments,” says director Vino Nunco. “We have employed industry experts because knowledge is power and knowing more makes the difference.
“These experts enable us to save time for clients through our experience, flexibility and the right connections worldwide. Just in time delivery is no longer good enough in today’s market. Efficiency comes only with just in sequence.
“Our customers don’t have to carry stock. The stock arrives already quality checked at the precise time it is required. When you add in Hellmann’s trade finance facility, it means the customer receives the right consignment at exactly the right time with a single invoice.
“Our philosophy is plain and simple. We’re here to help clients every step of the way by offering the utmost flexibility. We use only selected suppliers and develop strategic alliances to guarantee the fastest transit times at fair prices.”
E-commerce demands that companies stay one step ahead in logistics in order to sharpen their competitive edge, says Nunco.
“It promises expanded sales opportunities and optimises process organisation. With new electronic orders logistical processing needs to work smoothly.
“That’s why we do more than merely create e-commerce platforms with e-store systems in keeping with a client’s corporate design. From complete warehousing to shipping to payments, we handle everything that happens after an order is placed.”
