Dear Editor
I refer to your article Road strike warning (FTW February 13, 1998).
A lot of my clients called me to confirm that a strike was on the cards. I was pleased however to inform them that since 1940 we have never had any form of industrial action, and throughout the turmoil of the 80s and 90s our wheels kept rolling.
I know that we, with other hauliers who don't belong to the road freight trade union, would like to have read: Hauliers aligned to trade union fear possible strike.
