WHEN OPERATING in the international arena, change is fundamental to business survival, Kobus Maree, m.d. of Strategic Logistical Alliance (SLA), told guests at a function last week to celebrate the company's SABS ISO 9002 certification.
To achieve this successfully gives clients confidence in the consistency of a company's performance.
This acknowledgement of competence, he said, was a reward for team work, dedication and commitment.
The SABS ISO 9002 system measures consistency in performance and procedures in South African companies. We provide importers and exporters with a comprehensive service in terms of forwarding, customs clearance, warehousing and distribution. The fact that we have achieved this award within the short space of time since SLA was started in August 1996 speaks for itself.
The staff, spread between head office in Randpark Ridge, Randburg and a forwarding office near to JIA, includes three with M.Com degrees, one B.Com, an MBA as well as studies through METB in progress.
