Hamburg Süd and Maersk Line continue Asia partnership

THERE’S BEEN a realignment
of partnerships on the Asia
– SA – East coast South
America route following the
termination by Hamburg
Süd, Maersk Line and NYK
Line of their joint Good Hope
Express service, effective from
April 1.
Hamburg Süd and
Maersk Line will continue
to co-operate on the route
deploying ten newbuildings
of the Monte Class with a
nominal capacity of 5500
teus.
Vessels will call Nagoya,
Yokohama, Pusan, Shanghai,
Hong Kong, Singapore, Tanjn
Pelepas, Durban, Sepetiba,
Santos, Buenos Aires, Rio
Grande, Itajai/Sao Francisco
do Sul, Paranagua, Santos,
Port Elizabeth, Durban,
Singapore, Hong Kong,
Nagoya.
NYK has entered into a
partnership with Hyundai
Merchant Marine which will
see the launch of the New
Horizon Express, a weekly
fixed-day service operating a
total of 10 vessels, eight from
NYK and two from HMM.
