FORTY NINE per cent of South Africans say have seen “dramatic improvements” in the country’s infrastructure ahead of 2010, according to research by African Response. Four years since the country was nominated to host the 2010 FIFA World Cup, and with one and a half years left to go, South Africans are noticing and talking about the improvements made, says marketing manager Kate Slade. While 28% neither agreed nor disagreed that South Africa had made significant improvements, 21% did not feel that there had been any impressive improvements since 2004. Sixty-eight per cent believe we will be ready for the event, according to Slade.
