NOW WELL into its second year of operation, freight recruitment specialist XAct Placements is recording steady growth, says CEO Michael Henning. And that’s despite the challenges facing recruitment agencies – most notably the lack of skilled professionals in the industry. Overcoming this obstacle has demanded out-of-the-box thinking. “By growing our database of suitably qualified candidates, particularly through word of mouth recommendations and some keen marketing strategies employed earlier this year, we’ve gained access to members of the industry who are unreachable by the usual means,” says Henning, who believes that the company’s commitment to providing quality candidates has been a cornerstone of its success. And that goes hand in hand with service, says national manager Joshua Alexander. “We believe that the only way to set oneself apart from the competition is by providing consistent world class service. "We have surpassed our goals and expectations in our first year and aim to continue that growth to become the agency of first choice in the industry.” With the Durban branch now fully operational and Cape Town next on the agenda, X-Act Placements is set to extend is service package on a national basis. “It’s a package that rewards loyal clients with the best rates, service and exceptional candidates, all of the time,” says Henning.
