Grincor buys Ellerman & Bucknall

Alan Peat CAPE-BASED ships agents Ellerman & Bucknall have just been taken over by Grincor for an undisclosed sum - with the group planning big expansion for the business. "It is currently mainly involved with the fishing fleet, but we hope to grow the business with the good people they've already got there," said Ivan Clark, m.d. of Grincor who also confirmed that no change in management or staff is expected. "Following on our purchase of Inchcape," Clark added, "this is part of our plan to broaden our business base."
