Durban’s new King Shaka Airport has just handled its second freighter aircraft, with the arrival of an Emirates Sky Cargo Boeing 747-400F. This was a charter flight for forwarders, Safcor Panalpina, which has already established an office at the airport’s newly opened Dube TradeHouse. The plane’s payload was a consignment of 110-tonnes of off-shore dredging equipment destined for onward shipping at the Durban harbour.
