South Africa’s trading community can expect the first-phase roll-out of long-awaited tariff determinations (TDNs) by the SA Revenue Service some time in the second quarter of the year.
The publication of the determinations will be rolled out in three phases, the first of which will involve the online capturing of applications and the publishing of finalised TDNs.
Once the system’s first phase is live, traders will have a search capability.
The second phase, scheduled for September, will allow traders to submit TDN applications electronically.
The third phase will include the publication of historical TDNs, subject to the sanitising of information which may not be published by law.
There is no release date scheduled yet.
