Cool Logistics Africa, the first ever conference of its kind on the African continent, will be held in Cape Town from April 24-26 2012. Aimed at the growing perishable logistics market on the African continent, the event is expected to attract transport operators and shippers of perishables, such as fruit, flowers, fish including some high-value time-sensitive products transported by sea, air and overland to reach distant overseas markets in Europe, the Middle East, Asia and the Americas. The event is organised by Cool Logistics Resources, organisers of the global Cool Logistics conference in Europe. “It will identify transport infrastructure gaps and help disseminate necessary cold chain skills to reduce unnecessary losses and increase profitability for everyone involved in perishable trades,” a spokesman for the organisers said.
