Offering pipeline to Swaziland
Located in the heart of the Matsapha Industrial Estate, Express Cargo has earned a reputation as a technological leader in road freight haulage. Its latest product is “seamless in-bound” delivery from any place in the world to Swaziland.
“In a joint venture with an air freight company in Johannesburg, we offer in one package all that is needed: road bond, customs agent, registered bonded courier, and bonded company warehouse. No one has this but us. The client doesn’t have to worry about dealing with several companies to ship goods here by air,” said company director Marc Svenningsen.
Once goods are on the ground at Johannesburg International, Express Cargo’s 60-ton trucks move customers’ shipments into Swaziland, while other trucks (30 in Swaziland, five in Johannesburg and ten in Durban, with company warehouses in all the locations) ply the routes between Durban and Gauteng. Overnight service is the bulk of the company’s business, and Svenningsen emphasises that he offers the widest range of shipping options in the country. “Anything that has to do with shipping in Swaziland, we do. We offer a pipeline to Swaziland,” he said. Customers range from small companies in immediate need of
spare parts to garment manufacturers with large consignments of goods
for export.
“There is ignorance about shipping in Africa. You hear overseas customers complain, 'It’s a big problem.’ We say, 'There is no problem - come to us,” he said.
