Express link-up creates clinical products network

ALAN PEAT TWO MAJOR express transporters of clinical products have formed a partnership – and effectively created a global express network in this field. TNT Express has tied up with the US company, AirNet Systems – with AirNet to act as exclusive partner for transport of clinical samples to and inside the US. This links two compatible services. TNT’s “Clinical Express” product already has call-centres in Europe, China, India, Russia and SA – moving over 700 000 clinical samples a year for the pharmaceutical, biotech and healthcare industries. AirNet Systems, meantime, currently operates 128 aircraft located throughout the US – providing a transportation network for radiopharmaceuticals, blood, tissues and organs, and other time-critical items.
