EU aid of R11bn for Mozambique

The European Commission (EC) last Thursday signed an agreement in Brussels that will see European Union (EU) aid of over R11 billion being made available to projects in Mozambique by 2020.

This will be channelled into several areas, especially good governance and rural development.

The previous aid package for 2007-2013, financed with a total of over R11.3 billion, focused on transport infrastructure and regional integration, as well as on rural development and agriculture.
