Ethiopian Cargo and Logistics Services scooped the ‘Best Cargo Airline-Africa’ award for the second time in a row at the prestigious Arabian Cargo Awards.

The event, which took place in Dubai in the UAE recently, celebrates excellence in the cargo and logistics sector across the Gulf Cooperation Council region.

Ethiopian Airlines Group CEO Mesfin Tasew said the airline was honoured to scoop the award.

"This recognition is a testament to our hard work and unwavering commitment to excellence, innovation, and customer satisfaction in the air cargo industry, as well as our dedication to providing world-class cargo services in the region and beyond,” Tasew said.

“We remain focused on strengthening our position as a leader in the cargo and logistics sector, enabling seamless trade connections across continents."

Ethiopian Cargo and Logistics Services operates an air cargo network that connects over 140 destinations globally. It has a fleet of more than 140 aircraft, including 70 dedicated freighters, a state-of-the-art cargo terminal, and a modern warehouse with one million tons of storage capacity.

The airline’s extensive logistics network, the largest in Africa, plays a crucial role in facilitating trade and strengthening economic ties between the UAE, Africa, and the broader global market.

The company has a vision to be one of the top-20 cargo airlines in the world in terms of freight tonne-kilometres by providing safe, market-driven and customer-focused air cargo, courier, and mail transport services by 2035.
