DTI launches interactive B-BBEE portal

A DEFINITIVE guide to the Department of Trade & Industry’s Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment (B-BBEE) Codes of Best Practice and Verification Manual is now available online. Last Friday the Department launched its interactive B-BBEE Portal – a publicly accessible central database featuring a variety of tools that include facilities for promoting local business opportunities; reporting B-BBEE fronting; managing the flow of information to the dti; and providing a 'self assessment tool' for companies to gauge their B-BBEE status.
