Linex Air Service is expecting a challenging – but exciting – decade ahead, says director Martine Forbes. “As business speeds up, people want quick returns – finding the easiest route from A to B,” she said, which is why demand for express services is likely to grow. Changing and evolving technology will be a challenge in the next few years, she added. “It means everyone will have to invest heavily in this. Creative ways must be found so that customers and service providers can be interlinked seamlessly with the new technology,” she said. And Forbes is seeing growing demand for more specific niche services, tailored specifically for companies’ business requirements. “Our company focus is on doing just that. We are eager to adapt and move forward. The world is getting smaller and smaller and business becoming more diversified. We want to expand to cater for that. Business channels change and we need to adapt.” At present China is the growth area of the world, but it could change to anywhere else in the world. Linex must be in a position to cater for that, she said. “We feel positive and motivated and will not dwell on the negative. We must find ways and means of providing job satisfaction for our staff and creative solutions for what is to come,” said Forbes.
