An R18.6 billion shipyard in Nigeria, scheduled to be completed in a four year timescale, is planned by sponsors, the Nigeria Liquefied Natural Gas Company (NLNG).
This would be located in Badagry, near Nigeria’s commercial capital of Lagos, and would be the first major drydock for maintaining and repairing large crude vessels being developed in Africa outside SA.
According to a Reuters’ measure, the drydock would be able to accommodate 185 football fields.
