The Angolan government has announced plans to build a cross-border logistics platform in the municipality of Luau in the Moxico province.
“This will link Angola to the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and Zambia via the Benguela railway,” the Angolan Minister of Transport, Augusto da Silva Tomás was quoted by the country’s national news service, Angop, as saying.
The minister reportedly said that the plans included the creation of 44 logistics platforms for urban, regional, port and cross-border purposes, as well as for air cargo centres at the country’s major airports.
