COSATU plans anti privatisation stay-away

UNION BODY Cosatu has notified NEDLAC that it intends embarking on protest action - including marches, rallies, demonstrations and regional and national worker stay-aways - in protest against the government's privatisation proposals. Last week's planned KwaZulu Natal stay-away is due to be followed by a national worker stay-away next Wednesday and Thursday (August 29 and 30). The Gauteng regional Cosatu office confirmed this planned mass action.
