'Corridor development is key

Corridor development is the only way to address Africa’s massive transport needs and urgencies – and the role of ports in those corridors cannot be under-estimated.” That was the message from Brenda Horne- Ferreira at last week’s first-of-its kind Pan African forum in Cape Town aimed at finding ways to address port expansion across the continent. The event attracted more than 180 delegates from across the globe to find solutions for demand-driven port planning. “The majority of Africa’s ports are already at 90% capacity and growing and port congestion remains a stifling reality in Africa.”
