CONTAINERLINK, WITH its network of depots throughout the country, is a sponsor of the Exporter of the Year competition as part of its commitment to supporting the exporters of the country.

We have the ability to provide the full service of containerised cargo packing in the major regions of the country, explains Ron Brown, general manager for the Cape and Gauteng.

We also provide specialised facilities for bulk exporters in the paper and canned fruit industries. With 12 depots through South Africa offering empty container handling, storage and repairs, packing for both full loads and multi-consignment loads for groupage operators, Brown is satisfied this results in cost savings for exporters.

It gives them access to our packing expertise and cargo handling equipment such as gantries, reach trucks, heavy forklift trucks, dedicated container handlers, container friendly forklift trucks and road vehicles, he says.

Containerlink is also able to provide used sea containers for one-way exports and storage on both a lease and sale basis.

The KwaZulu-Natal region is headed by general manager Captain Ian Munro.
