KEY ISSUES that dominated the headlines in 2007 were port congestion, particularly in Durban and Cape Town; the spiralling oil price and its impact on the cost of transport; and the rise to infamy of James Arthur Brown and Fidentia in which Teta had invested R250m resulting in the subsequent arrest of Teta CE O Dr Piet Bothma. For the year ahead we will once again be keeping an eye on the oil price, port developments and the ongoing Fidentia saga.
