COMAV, NAMIBIA'S largest private airline, is set to take over operation of all southern African routes for the national carrier, Air Namibia.
Comav already operates Air Namibia's domestic flights, and has now appointed Isaac Kaulinge, former senior aide to President Sam Nujoma, as the company's executive director.
An announcement of its plans is expected early in the new year. Comav operates a daily dedicated cargo service between Windhoek and Johannesburg using a series of small aircraft, the majority of which have a freight capacity of little more than one ton.
