THANKS TO a R25-million donation from the AP Moller-Maersk group, President Thabo Mbeki has just opened the SA Maritime Training Academy (Samtra) - fully-fitted with bridge and engine room simulation equipment. President Mbeki took the controls at the official opening in Cape Town last week, under the watchful eye of Samtra’s Deanna Collins (centre) and Bob Smyth. See full story on page 14.
