BOTSWANA RECENTLY endorsed an increase in axle load limits from 8200 kg to 9000 kg in that country to align with Namibia and South Africa. This endorsement signals a milestone in the quest to harmonise cross-border procedures on the Trans Kalahari Corridor linking the port of Walvis Bay in Namibia with Botswana and Gauteng. The new axle load limits became effective on June 17.
