A decision to allow regular

imports of ammonium

nitrate through the port of

Walvis Bay will strengthen

the Walvis Bay Corridors as

it provides more volumes for

local hauliers, says André van

der Walt, founder of A van der

Walt Transport.

Previously ammonium

nitrate, which is used as an

explosive by the mines in

Namibia and neighbouring

countries, had to be trucked

in from South Africa.
