Helping cut communication costs
CLIVE EMDON
“BEWARE OF the so-called ‘ground-breaking’ internet-based services that came on offer after the deregulation of the communications industry in 2005. They may not survive,” warns Derick Beukes of GlobalTec Business Solutions. “They emerged overnight to exploit the opportunities. The problem is that, in the rush to be first to market, some of these services were not well constructed and will not stand the test of time. ”The communications industry is notorious for using fads to disguise its marketing campaigns and the outcome is not always good for the customer. “With 24 years experience in international trade and transport we understand the operational challenges of the industry.” GlobalTec has a proven track record in traditional voice communications with a forward looking approach to cost-saving technology, says Beukes. “Right now a big problem is the high cost of voice communications in an industry that relies on speaking with colleagues and clients locally and abroad,” Beukes says. ”We are prepared to invest the time and effort to build strong relationships with our customers who can rely on us to guide them through this transition stage and to be there for them in the long term.” Beukes, who recently took over the helm of GlobalTec, says the same business ethics that he applied in the logistics industry have been implemented in this communications venture.
