AUSTRALIA WILL in future demand a quarantine or bark declaration for all imports when timber has been used in the packing of FCLs.
If there is no bark declaration and timber has been used the container will be unpacked.
Goods will have to be treated by gamma rays or the bark will be physically stripped and disposed of.
