The opening of the new
Bertling South Africa
logistics centre in Kempton
Park is testament to the
impact the international
company has had in Africa.
Speaking at the official
launch of the newly built
premises in Bredell in
Kempton Park, Marc
Schweiger, Bertling regional
director sub-Saharan Africa
and managing director South
Africa, said much more was
on the cards with a Cape
Town office set to open in the
next few weeks as well.
“The new centre shows
our commitment not just to
South Africa but Africa – we
see a future for business and
investment in the continent,”
Schweiger told FTW. “Africa
is an area that we want to
develop more. Bertling has
always had a footprint on
the continent, especially
in the mining industry. As
an export destination it is
big, but in recent times we
have also grown our import
market.”
