WELL KNOWN for his involvement in Transnet's ecommerce initiatives, Anver Barthis has opened his own Information Technology consultancy, Talmic, specialising in transport-related ecommerce solutions and business improvement strategies.
Based in Johannesburg, Barthis has a strong network in IT as well as the transport industry, having spent five years at Transnet. More recently he was responsible for putting together the entire ecommerce strategy for Datavia.
Barthis is particularly keen on creating a fully integrated supply chain solution in a multi-modal environment and is currently working on a project which could have far-reaching impact on the transport industry as a whole.
