Antwerp defies the record books

THE PORT of Antwerp handled just over 160 million tonnes of cargo in 2005, an increase of 5,1% over the previous year, according to eyefortransport.com. December was an all-time record month, with almost 14 million tonnes of cargo being loaded or unloaded in the port.
