Commanding officers in the
South African Navy and the
German Navy taskforce last
week undertook a series of
joint naval exercises in antipiracy
operations near Simons
Town Naval Base.
Held every two years,
the joint exercise – Exercise
Good Hope – deployed the
German frigate Luebeck and
a South African corvette SAS
Isandlwana, which had recently
been involved in anti-piracy
patrols, according to BuaNews.
