SAA CEO Andre Viljoen and the airline have separated “on an amicable basis”. The acting chairman of the board, Tshidi Mokgabudi, told FTW that Viljoen had agreed to do a “proper handover” to deputy CE Oyama Mabandla, who will act as CE from September 1. Viljoen, who resigned last week ahead of his contract expiry, said that he was currently considering a number of future options but would be focusing his full attention on a smooth hand-over at the airline over the next two months.
