Airlink targets express market

Airlink Cargo has set its focus on growing its small express and courier service, according to MD Alwyn Rautenbach. “We have embarked on a freighter programme that will see the current Jetstream 41 aircraft – currently used for passengers and freight – converted into freighter aircraft,” said Rautenbach. “This programme will help us gain traction in a market that we believe is growing.” With the first J41 aircraft expected to take to the skies as freighter- only aircraft in the next weeks, Rautenbach says the move has increased the airline’s capacity significantly.
