Airline safety courses developed

Cape Town- based FlightSafety Training SA, in association with AST Africa, has developed a range of aviation-related training courses for airlines, airports, civil aviation and cargo. Rex Aylward, who heads up the company, believes that these are particularly relevant in view of the new IATA dangerous goods regulations. "We are the only training organisation in South Africa that has a security module included in our dangerous goods training programmes, which have been reviewed and accredited by the South African Civil Aviation Authority for all 12 IATA Dangerous Goods categories," he told FTW. The courses can be run anywhere in Africa or at the company's facilities in Cape Town or Johannesburg.
