AfriEximbank gets positive ratings revision from Fitch

International ratings agency Fitch has announced a revision of its outlook for the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank) from “negative” to “stable”.

In a statement issued in Paris, Fitch attributed the revised outlook to improvements to Afreximbank’s capital position as a result of ongoing capital-raising measures and to “the reasonable loan quality due to the focus on short-term trade finance facilities and sound liquidity”.
