Ad hoc rates won't change

WHILE THERE is a general rates increase, Spoornet customers with special agreements will face no hike until next January, according to Isobel Louw of Roadwing.
These special ad hoc rates will not change, she said. The rates that have changed affect the small user.
This, Louw added, as part of Spoornet normalising its rates structure - and using cash throughput as a measure of a customer, and the rates incentive that will be allowed.
Spoornet is addressing the customer, not the individual box. This, she added, was logical.
It's a new concept, Louw said. In 1988 Spoornet introduced the contract user, which has now swung to - the more money you pay them, the lower the rate you will get.
