ACI appoints GSA for smaller centres

AIRLINK CARGO International (ACI) has appointed The Transit Group (Transit) as its cargo handling and general sales agent in Bloemfontein, Kimberley, Port Elizabeth, George and East London with immediate effect. ACI is the cargo arm of S A Airlink which serves a wide range of destinations in South and southern Africa while Transit is a domestic and international freight consolidator. ÒACIÕs fleet of Jetstream J41 and Embraer 135 aircraft are ideal for express shipments,Ó says ACI MD Alwyn Rautenbach. With cargo space tailored to smaller shipments these aircraft have the capacity for general express packages up to 50kg. ÒAll-in rates apply from any destination to any other on a through waybill, even to and from minor centres,Ó says Transit managing member Tim Snell.
