Zim exports grow significantly

Zimbabwe is one of the major tobacco exporters in the world.

Zimbabwe’s total exports for November 2015 grew by 72.7%, with South Africa and Mozambique emerging as the biggest export destinations, according to the Zimbabwe National Statistics Agency (ZimStat).

Exports included tobacco, granite stone, chrome, live animals, building materials, iron and steel products, sugarcane, cotton lint, fences and coffee.

Of the total exports (amounting to US$408.1 million) South Africa took the lion’s share (U$358.9 million), while Mozambique’s share totalled $24 million.
