Now Media managing director Dave Marsh holds the framed certificate signed jointly by the National Ports Authority, Buffalo City Municipality, Border-Kei Chamber of Business and the Industrial Development Zone, congratulating the company on its 50 years, and thanking it for the good relations all four have enjoyed. On the left are Terry Taylor (NPA) and Les Holbrook (Chamber of Business) with Peter Miles (IDZ) on the right. “Wow! It’s R10 000,” exclaimed Siani Tinley, Buffalo City Municipality chief executive marine services, when FTW managing editor Dave Marsh handed her the cheque made out to ‘Friends of the Aquarium’. Friends of the Aquarium chairman Eric Swanepoel is on the left, with Willie Maritz, Buffalo City director of amenities services, which includes the aquarium, on the right. The staff of the port of East London presented Now Media with a combined weather baro-meter, clock and thermometer to mark its lengthy association with FTW. Harbour master Rufus Lekala (left) made the presentation and communications officer Terry Taylor (right) took time out to explain the workings to Now Media managing director Dave Marsh.
