Anna Cox THE NEW software programme currently being developed by Unico International will facilitate many applications for the road, freight and logistics industries, says managing director Manoli Rodokanakis. The new windows-based programme which is due to be launched at the end of the year is unique, says Rodokanakis. “It was developed on-site with the backing of Borland expertise and uses the most up-to-date computer language and technology. User-friendly and highly flexible, changes can easily be made without much effort,” he said. Another benefit is that the new system can integrate into any computer platform easily, thereby saving costs and time. “It can be adapted to specific company needs thereby supplying a practical tool which offers real benefits to any business,” he said. The modem-based system covers wide-ranging industry requirements from customs clearing and warehousing to management tools, imports, exports, billing, invoicing, track and trace and container control. There is no monthly fee for the programme other than maintenance. Unico is negotiating with some big names in the industry and if successful will launch internationally, he said. The product has been developed after months of intensive market research. “Unico takes ownership of its customers’ problems and requirements and offers a one-stop support base with excellent expertise on the technical side,” Rodokanakis added
