THE WALVIS Bay Corridor Group has joined forces with the Swedish International Development Agency (Sida) to create a “Safe Trade and Transport Corridor Programme”. Due to be officially launched in Windhoek on October 22, the initiative is intended to improve road safety and transport along the Trans Kalahari and Trans Caprivi Corridors. It will support the regional authorities in the countries traversed by these corridors in a bid to develop safe, sustainable and secure corridors.
