JOY ORLEK CHAIRMAN OF The Cargo Connection (TCC), Gerd von Mansberg, has been head-hunted to set up a cargo airline based in Jordan. He leaves shortly for a three month extendable contract. While he is away general manager Sheena Arnold will head up the TCC operation based in Johannesburg. It’s a challenging project and Von Mansberg is more than equal to the task. “A lot of research has been done already. It’s real entrepreneurial stuff and my job will be to assess issues like the routing. The airline has started working with Russian aircraft in the region, but is now keen to go inter-continental.
